River Activities

Enjoy the beautiful scenic Guadalupe River while relaxing and having fun on the river tubing, kayaking, or rafting. Come experience tubing in the Texas Hill Country and have some fun in the sun!

Tubing The Horseshoe

  • 1 ½ to 2 hours (can vary depending on river flow- please refer to flow chart below)
  • Shuttle Service to the Access Area at the beginning of the Horseshoe where you begin your tubing trip.
  • The end of the Horseshoe is a short walk to the Shanty River Center, (approx 150 yards). When finished with this leg of the trip, if you haven’t had enough tubing fun, we will take you back to the beginning, and let you go tubing again.

Tubing to The 4th Crossing

  • 3 ½ to 4 hours (Subject to availability depending on river flow)
  • Shuttle Service to the Access Area at the Beginning of the Horseshoe where you begin your tubing trip.
  • Shuttle Service at the Pick-up Area on the 4th Crossing Bridge.

Life Jackets offered to all customers free of charge with every tube rental.

Guadalupe River Tubing Trips

  • Horseshoe Trip – Tube Rental $20 per day
  • 4th Crossing Trip – Tube Rental $20 (one trip only)
  • Cooler Tube Rental    $20
  • Ice Chest Rental         $15
  • Cooler Tube Combo ( Tube and Ice Chest) $35

There is an additional $1 fee if paying by credit card  making it $21 per day.
All Tube Rental prices include tube, life jacket (if needed) parking, river access, shuttle, sales tax, and a county river use tax.

Kayak Trips

  • Single Person Kayaks: $45 (Two Sizes: Adult & Kiddie)
  • All Rentals include Parking, Shuttles, and Tax
  • Life Jackets & Paddles provided for all Rafts & Kayaks, at No Charge

Come tube with us here at Shanty River Center.

Take the trip of your choice, and don’t forget a cooler with your favorite beverages and snacks because…. while tubing the Guadalupe River the “Can Ban” Does Not Apply.

Just remember NO GLASS, NO STYROFOAM, and NO PLASTIC CONTAINERS UNDER 5 oz (ie. jello shot containers, miniature liquor bottles, etc.) are not allowed and are subject to a citation.
